There were editing issues.

It was hard for me to see Farren demeaned but accepting of the bullying from his neighbors. His childhood friend wasn't even much help and actually didn't stop his cousin from doing so. There was no courtship between Nick and Farren and I felt Farren should have had that. Nick practically terrorized him his whole life and even Farren admits there was some lasting effect (i.e. Farren doesn't leave his house much because of the bullying). I wanted to see Farren make Nick work for it and I just didn't get it.
