Will is a paramedic called on a job to a football practice where he aids a teenage football play at practice. The kid passes and it turns out hes a organ donor. Kory is an adult actor who gets a lucky chance at a new start when he is picked for an heart translpant. Taking his resolution seriously he abstains from his previous work habits and tries to stay on the straight and narrow. When the two meet by chance at the cemetary. They immediately hit it off but with Kory's secret and the looming of Will's ex, insecurities and fear threaten to destroy their relationship.

I actually didn't find this as interesting a read of K.Vales other books. There wasn't really anything about Will and Kory that drew me. I never grew attached to them or felt any sympathy for either party. I did hate on Darryl though, he was just the type of person I couldn't help but dislike. I did like getting to know everyone and thought Holly was a pretty awesome friend. I was really anticipating Kory revealing his secret and just seeing Will's reaction.
