I think this was my favorite of the whole series not to say the books before it weren't my favorite too. Kit and J.X. have just moved into their new home. J.X. is off to a writer's convention and Kit has decided to remain home under the guise of unpacking and settling the house. Needless to say while unpacking he finds a dead body among his material items. Being who he is. Kit finds himself immersing himself in a mystery and putting his life in danger.

I really loved the story even though I had moments where I though Kit was acting really really irresponsible. I loved reading about his and J.X. relationship, seeing them fight and working it out and making concessions in their relationship and of course seeing those tender moments between them. It was also fun to see Adrien and Jake make a small appearance in the book. The plot was interesting and it was fun reading about Kit solving the crime involving the Ladas brother and the coins.
