Really good start. The characters were likable and I liked getting to know them. The grief demonstrated by Mack and Oliver did appeal to me and I did enjoy seeing them cope with it in different ways. The atmosphere surrounding the two were calming and I liked that they were acting like considerate well mannered people. Oliver made me laugh at his outrage concerning the pot and pans in Mack's kitchen.
Near the end it was getting a bit farfetched. Mack was too perfect...I don't think I could have reacted as he did when Oliver just upped and left. I did like and understand why Oliver believed he had to go though.
I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
