It's the 1860's. Thomas is a half incubus, half vampire whom scavenges among the dead to feed himself. Aiden is a Confederate soldier, who has been injured and is sure he's close to death's door. Thomas just chances upon him while he's scavenging, he helps to clean Aiden's wounds and stays a while to make sure Aiden will make it. As Thomas is departing, the two share a kiss that remains with them both for years to come. Upon getting his affairs in order, Aiden goes in search of Thomas. Hoping to start something up with the man he couldn't forget.

The story was pretty short, focusing more on the sex (it's a gay erotic romance...so that should be expected, I think.)Readers really don't get the time to really get acquainted with the characters. What information was offered about the Aiden and Thomas was intriguing though.

I was curious Thomas and how he dealt with both his vampire and demonic side. I would have liked to see more interaction among the three besides for the moments the two were ganging up on him to claim Aiden. I thought the last ten to fifteen page were sweet and exciting.
