I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
3.5 starsMitch and Keller meet under unusual circumstances. Mitch saves Keller from a beating that's happening out in the back of his bar. Being a ex-military medic Mitch can't just turn the guy away and strongly urges the resisting Keller in to patch him up. What happens next takes Mitch by surprise.
The is quite a quick read and feels like it practically goes by in a blink of an eye. Mitch's memory of Brian and his grief was touching and made me a tad sad for him. Keller came off as a interesting character and it was nice that a little background was shed on each character in such a short story. I was s bit bothered by how quickly the two got involved but it was expected seeing how short it was. I enjoyed it and I kind of wished it was a bit more fleshed out.
