The writing to me seemed disjointed. The transitioning from paragraph/ chapter was weird and it felt like a lot was happening off page. The sex between Josh and Max was a little disturbing since was dub-con-ish. Josh just kind of falls into the heat of the moment and doesn't even enjoy the act at all. The thing with Max is confounding. Both Joss and Max claim not to be gay but continue to have sexual encounters.

The stuff about China and debt was a bit unnecessary. I felt it was a bit fanatical since the author kept bringing the subject back into focus here and there in the book. I didn't like that tidbit of information being thrown into my face continuously. This made me drop the rating on the book a bit.

Little inconsistencies cropped up. Joss gets a text,he doesn't want to reply so he hangs up? How do you hang up on a text? When does the text become a phone call?

The component with Robert was interesting. Reading his theory that aliens coming to earth disguising themselves and possibility being the cause of the mutation intrigued me.

The change in Bradley's attitude was a bit disturbing. He went from extreme hate to peaceful in what felt like a second. I mean he attacks his own pregnant brother than a chapter or two later he all cool.

The ending turned out nice and I felt it redeemed the story a bit.
