Readers first meet Collin and Tanner in the first chapter. Collin expecting Tanner to bring back his girlfriend for his weekly sex session, had moments before, crawled into bed and was pretending to sleep only he didn't make it into his usual position facing away from Tanner's bed. With no girlfriend in sight Collin assumes Tanner will just go to bed but Tanner just starts to jerk off. Collin is getting turn on but doesn't want Tanner to know he's awake so he continues to pretend to be asleep only to be caught when Tanner finishes. Tanner is totally cool with Collin watching. Revelations are made and it starts a chain of events Collin embraces and fears.

There were fun moments at the start and I liked that. Collins struggle to embrace his sexuality and struggle with his upbringing was fascinating to see. The way he handled it and him finally just coming out and accepting himself was awesome to read. I love that he had support from both Wendy and Tanner (although he was more emotinally and physically invested). Collins mother was someone I wanted to shake but I'm sure she probably has her own reasons for being the way she is.

The sexual exploration that Collin was experiencing with Tanner was nice and I enjoyed reading it. There was a lot of it though and I kind of wished there were just a bit more of Tanner and Collin just hanging out instead of being all over each other. I'm lookking forward to seeing book two and three.
