I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

There was something about the book that just threw me off. I'm not sure if it was the rushed romantic/sexual relationship develop or the insta-love feel to it (which hasn't ever bothered me in other books before).

Parker and Slade (Lonnie) were interesting character and I enjoyed their interaction and their first meeting. It was nice that some background on Lonnie was provided but not much on Parker (yes I get that he had a pretty normal childhood). The plot itself was interesting and the dangerous elements were exciting. I thought the parts with Samson were the best parts of the book, especially when readers discover his true role and what he had with Valeena wasn’t a lie.
