I enjoyed Romanus and was thought that Chevalier was a wonderful sequel. Mason and Luc have been together for a year now. Luc's been trying to get Mason to move in with him but Mason has been putting it off. When lost relatives start coming out of the wood works to invite Mason to France Mason is surprised to say the least. Angry and upset next to finding out that his relationship with Luc is frowned upon because Luc is a gargoyle of lesser standing in the gargoyle community. Mason is forced to go to France when is a threat is made. Luc, of course accompanies him. The trip turns out to be a bigger ordeal than either of them expected.
I was really happy with the book. The usual emotions/possesiveness we usually see in Mary Calmes story felt more tone down here but still got the point across. There was excitement and declarations of love. Of course, there's always a character that comes to some sort of realization and that was cool too. Definitely a book I will be rereading over and over. I sure hope we get another story with Mason and Luc or even a side story with Raoul and Finn.
