Angels Fall is a small welcoming town in Minnesota where everyone knows everyone elses business but still have their own little secrets. It's quiet and relatively safe. It's also the place where troubled men and women of law enforcement are sent. Avery Forrester is one of those officers and when a new fresh faced officer transfers into his department he's a bit more than curious as to why this perfectly young and unblemished individual would choose to come to Angels Fall of his own accord. But before Avery can even start in on the mystery of the new officer, murder comes knocking in the little town.
The story felt a bit drawn out to me. I did like it but I found myself kind of spacing out at the slower portions of the story. The mystery/thriller portion of the story was very well done. For a little while I had chills running down my spine and I was hyping myself up for something very terrible to happen. I felt it was predictable and for more than half the story I thought I knew who the killer was and was relieved to see that I was correct in my assessment. I would have rated it higher but as I said I kind of started drifting at the slower portions of the story.
An ARC was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.
