Jem and Sean have recently separated and are in the process of divorce and no one knows about it. When Sean parents decide to come spend the holidays with them not knowing they're going to get a divorce. Sean seeks out Jem to help him pull off Christmas instead of having to break the news about their impending divorce. Jem decides to help Sean out since they spent years trying to prove they were a committed couple and it's the first time Sean's parents have decided to come spend Christmas with them.
I really really liked this story from the start, it was pretty short and easy to finish in one sitting. Jem's heartbreak and emotional state involving Sean and his relationship hit me right in the heart. It was easy to see both characters loved each other and it was sweet to see Sean try to show Jem that feelings still existed between the two and just try to right the wrong that their relationship took a turn on. I was very happy with the read but I wished it had been longer and more developed. I would have loved to learn how the two met.
A free copy was to me in exchange for an honest review.
