Interstellar Alpha

Interstellar Alpha - Kellan Larkin An ARC was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 stars

Zax and companion, Fian, are on the run and when it's suggested they go to earth and actually arrive there they're in a bit of disbelief at it's lushness. Unknown to Zax and his crewmember is that they've trespassed on another pack's land.

Issac and a couple of pack members are patrolling the pack land when they encounter the intruders on their land on. They engage them and tell them they have to go. When the strangers ask to stay for the night the situation escalates. The strangers who claim to be from another planet transform when Issac's pack get aggressive. As an omega, Issac has built up some respect in his pack and calls on the attention of his alpha to listen. He manages to get his alpha to listen and in doing so is able to stop a fight from breaking out.

This was a entertaining read. There were a few sentences in the story that I thought where very romantic. The story itself was well paced and was intriguing.

Certain facts like the gestation time between the aliens and earth wolves were especially intriguing to me. I really liked this small detail and thought it was unique in differentiating the wolves and fed into the whole idea of why Zax enemies were after them. When it came to Issac's pack member showing support to Zex and Fian, I thought it was pretty shitty of them to waiver on helping them. Zax and Fian were awesome shifters and they didn't have to share any of their technology.

I thought it was exciting how Issac modified the phaser. There was nice action and that Issac wasn't like every other omega. The birthing was interesting too, there was a detailed description of the birthing which you don't much see in alpha omega mpreg shifter stories.
