Balancing Act

Balancing Act - K. Vale, Kimber Vale A free copy was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.

The follow up to Hard Act to Follow, Kyrie and Greg's story. Everything seems to be going well for the couple. The two are still going hot and heavy. Career wise Kyrie is becoming more well known, walking the runway and doing promotional work. He's gotten close to very popular model, Anders Berglund and have become great friends. The media sure loves them anyway. Greg is a bit jealous but he trusts Kyrie. The only real hiccup is that Kyrie is pushing for Greg to come out and Greg is still uncomfortable expressing his newfound sexuality. Kyrie doesn't want to be Greg's dirty little secret and doesn't want to hide their relationship. Greg wants that too and tries to make a valiant effort. Then an unexpected visit from Greg's destitute mother has staunches all of Greg's efforts. Greg seems to regress to old habits causing a rift in his and Kyrie's relationship.

I enjoyed reading the follow up. Seeing how Greg and Kyrie's relationship have developed since readers last saw them. Anders was an interesting character and I felt very curious about him. I'm hoping readers will get to see more of him in the future.

Greg's mother, well there's just no words I can use to describe. She was just really something to experience and as far as mothers go I could really identify with Greg's feelings concerning her.

I loved the ending, it was sweet. I do hope that the author has more planned for them.
