This is Kelly Davis (bLoved founder) and Jase Miller's story.

I never read the first book in the series but I loved Logan and Tristan's story and it's were readers would have really gotten to meet Kelly and find out his situation. The book picks up with a new character Jason (Jase) Miller, who is being medically discharged. Then immediately going to Kelly and his hookup who calls the cops because of the letter sewn into the pillow. Proceeding with Officer Bryne urging Kelly to get protection. That protection ends up being Jase, who works for Officer Bryne's uncle's security firm.

The two get off on sticky terms. Kelly seems high maintenance and is acting bratty because he's being displaced and having to take a step back from bLoved. Jase comes off as quite bossy and really strict, adhering to protocol's that will keep Kelly safe but bored out of his mind (or so Kelly thinks). The two are attracted to each other but their behavior towards each other isn't exactly screaming mutual attraction.

I really enjoyed this read. There were moments where I just wanted to shake Jase or Kelly or both for acting the way they were to each other. It almost turned me off but I persevered and I really enjoyed it. The chemistry was great between Jase and Kelly and I liked that there was build up. Kelly egging and teasing Jase was cute in a way.
