A free copy was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.
An alien invasion has torn everything Chris ever knew apart. Losing his father at the hands of the invaders doesn't make matters easier or any less heart wrenching. Chris also has to take over keeping his mother, sisters and cousin safe. On an trip to find items for winter, Chris and his cousin, Morgan are captured and taken back to a facility. Scared and worried for themselves and not understanding the alien language, the two try to remained calm. When it's made known the two are meant to be sex toys they don't really have much choice in the matter. When one of their capturers decide to take Chris to pleasure himself with Chris, another alien saves him. Chris can't help but feel a pull for that alien. When alien decided to takes him and his cousin home with him. Chris really has no choice and goes willingly since there's something about the alien that calls to him. When Chris sees what kind of relationship Lasar and Nary (aliens who own him) hold, Chris is more than curious.
I enjoyed the story and I wasn't sure how I would like it when I started. On the DBML page there was no warning about "sounding". I had to google it and when I did it didn't sound so good but when it happened in the book it wasn't a terrible ordeal in fact Nary took such pleasure in serving Lasar that it didn't even make a bleep on my comfort scale.
The three had a unique relationship and it was intriguing to see how Chris would fit in. I was not happy with how it ended since it didn't really touch on what would become of them when everyone finds out, readers don't get much on what's going to happen to Morgan and whether anything will happen when it's discovered a human can become as important as Chris has become. There was a lot of unanswered questions.
I do look forward to the next book just to find out more about what will happen with both Morgan and Chris, more Morgan than Chris since he's in a more positive situation.
