Chris Whittaker is just getting out of an relationship and decides to start living his life as he wants being free of any encumberment of a bad relationship. He decides to join an acting troupe.
Jacob Landry is an aspiring actor. When he meets Chris on his first day at the troupe he offers to give Chris some free acting lessons. He's not even sure why he does it.
Both Chris and Jacob feel a pull to each other. Chris is straight but not worried about pursuing anything with Jacob. Jacob has his own concerns with entering into a relationship with a straight guy. Chris's ex-girlfriend has her own thought on the matter though too.
It was an okay read. It wasn't an overly complicated story and didn't really stir any strong emotions in me during the read.
I wasn't invested in Chris and Jacob during the reading. Sophia didn't come off as crazy as I thought she would be from the blurb. She was actually just more annoying and a pest. Chris's passive aggressive behavior with dealing with her made me want to shake him.
I'm not sure why Jacob would let a a stranger (Sophia) into his house to tak about Chris, ESP since Chris told her why they broke up.
The communication between Chris and Jacob was at first nice since a healthy relationship needs good communication but after a while it became a little too much. I'm glad everything seemed to work out.
An ARC was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.
