3.5 starsAaron and Duncan aren't really my favorite minor characters from Acrobat or A Matter of Time series. They weren't really painted in a good light in the books they were each respectively introduced in. I wasn't sure what to expect but I decided to give them a try. It turned out not to be a bad decision, I liked some parts more than others but overall enjoyed it. It was entertaining to learn more about Duncan and get to see a bit more of Aaron's life and family. The relationship between the two didn't seem as strong to me as any other characters in any of the other series by Mary Calmes but all that mattered was that Duncan and Aaron were devoted to each other. The situation with the special op involving Aaron and Duncan was a bit farfetched but still fun to read. I thought it ended nicely and I'm hoping if Mary decides to write another side story/spin off it'll be of Kian and his savior/new owner/master(?) or of Duncan's friend, Terrence.
