One Helluva First Date Cade Spencer is at Bobby Leslie welcome home celebration and getting drunk (he's still getting over a relationship thats ended six month beforehand and he wallowing in sorrow). Bobby Leslie learns from a mutual friend that Cade's been crushing on him for years and since Bobby has felt the same for Cade since high school, he decided it's the perfect time to make his move. So he takes a drunken Cade back home, takes care of him and when Cade's somewhat recovered, Bobby pounces.
The story moved really quickly and a majority of it was Bobby and Cade in bed. One annoying detail I found about the story was that there was just so much exclamation points used. If I wanted to I could have probably turned this into a drinking and have gotten drunk.
Demon Be Mine Valios is looking for his lifetime companion and he find it in the form of Cal Daniels, a seemingly harmless man who walks into his club. However, not everything is as it appears to be since Cal is actually Calisto, an angel, that Valios has encountered once before in battle.
It was an interesting story but it felt unfinished. Valios, after finding out the truth, runs off. He has this inner monologue where he's asking his father for forgiveness. Calisto on the other hand has plans to go after Valios. It ended when it was just staring to get good. I'm not sure if the author intends to continue the story when it becomes a standalone story but if she does then it'll probably be best to hold off on buying the anthology and just wait for the standalone stories.
Unforgettable Valentine Shifting POV. Rhett Vorhees made a valentine's for Darren McKissick when they both were in grammar school. Darren being the child he was, laughed and rejected Rhett. Now, several years later, Rhett find himself alone, with strings of one night stands and a roommate who keeps bugging him to get out and to find someone. Rhett, even after all these years, still thinks about Darren and the valentine's he's made. Darren has been doing the same in the case of Rhett. Both find themselves wondering about the other and what became of each. Coincidentally, they manage to accidentally find each other through a dating/hookup? site. Darren finally has the chance to make it up to Rhett and wines and dines him.
I felt the story was too sweet for my taste. There was no drama or hard feelings. I wanted Darren to have to work a bit to make it up to Rhett.
