There was a lot of information coming to readers at the start of the book which took following the story a bit hard. It was almost as if I was just reading from the middle of the story. Character's names were being mentioned and no one was being introduced really. I kind of got the intention the author had for writing the story the way she did but I had to go back to reread some passages over and over again to make sure I hadn't missed something when a new character was introduced. Anyway by the time every character is sorted out and I got what was going on(which really wasn't too long), the book really became a very interesting read. I'm usually drawn to stories that have self-sacrifice as a theme and Mallory really won some props from me when he kept quiet about his identity after being kidnapped.
