At the start we meet Joey who has experienced something horrible, the tragic act of rape. He is drawn to a field behind his home one night and it's there he encounters a unicorn, something he's waited all his life for. Seeing himself no longer worthy he runs away until he hears something from the unicorn and turns back...seconds later everything breaks into chaos.... It's a nice story and it starts off really well. Readers also get info. about unicorns and their chosen and it was intriguing to read. But I felt that there should have been more to the story, it just felt like it got a bit rushed.
