The story starts off with Roth in a club (sex club, readers later learn) getting approached by the bartender who tells him, "He’s here tonight." The bartender points Roth to the back room and Roth walks in and hides himself in the shadows and observes. He watches Sinclair, who is blindfolded and hands clasped behind his back, giving head to several men before, he, himself finally approaches Sinclair. After Sinclair hears Roth's voice they practically make out in front of the other members occupying the room, they decide to get a private room. After having a discussion about love and pleasure and doing other stuff they head back to Roth's place, where they continue getting reacquainted.
I thought this was a bit of a strange read in that it wasn't told in a usual way. The blurb should have probably been included in the story just as a layout of what the story was about. I was thrown a bit since I wasn't sure what was going on (hadn't read the blurb prior to reading it). There were other little things that bothered me about the story but I'm going to choose not bring them up.
